Staying in the Maggie loop

Sorry for the long delay in posts. It's been a busy month. Lots going on. Erik is planning to make two international trips this summer (please pray for his passport to get back from the Nigerian embassy on time!) and Jeanie is in the final week of her three-year pediatric residency. More on all of that later. Here are some photos of Maggie keeping up with today's news:

"Wow! There's a lot of information in this paper. Thank you, Christian Chronicle."

Maggie shows off a Sunday dress given to us by one of Jeanie's cousins.

All of the pictures are adorable, but I especially like the last two where Maggie's eyes are wide and her mouth open.

I couldn't help but notice that in every picture, she was reading my stories and telling Dad: "Isn't that Bobby Ross Jr. something else!?"

Actually, I think she was admiring the wonderful design work on the centerspread. -- ET

Wow, she is amazingly beautiful. I saw a Christian Chronicle when I was at my mom's house and saw that you had won a bunch of awards. Congrats! (I initially was going to write something cheesy like, "From Summerville to Sierra Leone, readers congratulate Erik Tryggestad..." etc., paying homage to the paper's favorite title structure:). But then I saw the pictures of your daughter and decided to lead with the baby comments. Because dang, she's cute.)

Yeah, that was a pretty nice centerspread ... but she really seems focused on the words and not the design. :)

I think red is her new color! I love the dress! Oh, and the paper pics are pretty cute, too Erik. :)

Really darling photos of your little Maggie. Congratulations on having such a cute little bundle of. . . sweetness. Say, the visa challenge hits a nerve with me (wonder why). Besides that, I recently heard about a group who had visa challenges several years back with Nigeria. They ended up traveling to the embassy in person to pick their passports just like the day before departure. Anyway, here's hoping that by now, all doors have opened easily for Your trip. Happy travels, Eileen

Thanks for asking. Yes, I got my passport back from the Nigerian embassy in plenty of time. But you're right, the process always makes me nervous. Luckily, I was connected to a lady in D.C. who knows the process and got it done in record time. If you know of anyone headed to Nigeria, just have them get in touch with me and I'll get them the contacts to get the visa quickly.
